Nightcap National Park

Nigghtcap National ParkNightcap National Park and Whian Whian State Conservation Area are situated in far north-eastern New South Wales, around a 45 minute drive from Ballina. Together they encompass about 10,500 hectares of the Nightcap Range. Spectacular features such as waterfalls play an important part in shaping the natural environment. The precipitous drop of Minyon Falls is the dramatic result of thousands of years of erosion.

There are a number of walking tracks within Nightcap National Park including The Big Scrub Loop (1.5 kilometres, 45 minutes, moderate), Rocky Creek Dam Walk (2 kilometres one way, 45 minutes, moderate), Minyon Loop (7.5 kilometres, 4 1/2 hours, moderate - hard) and the Boggy Creek Walk (2 kilometres, 45 minutes, easy).

All picnic areas have barbeques, tiolets and picnic tables with shelters and information.
