Laid back Lennox Head is situated halfway between Ballina and Byron Bay. The main street runs alongside the beautiful Seven Mile Beach and is home to some of the best cafes and restaurants in the Northern Rivers.

A proud surf town, Lennox is recognised for the legendary Lennox Point headland, part of Australia’s National Surfing Reserve. The powerful right-hand point break draws surfers from around the world and ranks among the top surf breaks in the country.

Lake Ainsworth is a unique natural treasure located at the northern end of Lennox Head. This serene freshwater tea-tree lake is coloured a rich amber by natural oils and tannins from the surrounding Melaleuca trees, giving the water its distinctive hue and a reputation for soothing skin and hair.

A favourite among locals and visitors, the lake offers a calm, protected space for swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking and sailing. The grassy foreshore has picnic areas, barbecues and shady spots.
