The ferry operates daily from 5.30am to 12.30am (except Christmas Day), but it’s not just transport - it’s a scenic shortcut across the river and a slice of Ballina’s history.

A great spot to pull up the boat and cast a line is at Mobbs Bay on the south side of the Richmond River. A beautiful bank to spend the day fishing, swimming, and soaking up nature’s best on the quiet side of town. Pack a picnic and you have your day planned. Mobbs Bay can also be accessed by car along South Ballina Beach Road.
