Domestic & Family Violence Awareness Walk

Join the community for the Domestic & Family Violence Awareness Walk, a meaningful event that brings together schools, businesses, community groups and locals — all walking in solidarity to say no to domestic and family violence.

The walk kicks off at 12:30pm from the Ballina Visitor Information Centre, winding its way through town to finish at the Ballina Indoor Sports Centre (BISC). It’s a gentle, community-paced walk — open to everyone, whether you’re joining as part of a group or coming along on your own.

Once at the BISC, the event continues with guest speakers, including representatives from NSW Police and inspiring community voices who’ll share powerful messages of hope and support. There’ll also be music and dance performances by talented Ballina Coast High School students.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Ballina-on-Richmond, this event is a reminder that real change starts with community — and that every step counts. Bring your friends, your colleagues, or just yourself, and take a walk that truly makes a difference.
