Fair Go Skate Competition

Ballina’s iconic Fair Go Skateboard Competition returns for its 25th year, celebrating one of Australia’s longest-running and most loved skate events. Known for attracting some of the highest competitor numbers in the country, Fair Go continues to draw riders from all corners of Australia — from emerging talent to some of the nation’s top skaters and aspiring Olympians.

The weekend kicks off on Friday afternoon with competition heats, followed by remaining heats and the grand finals on Saturday at Missingham Skate Park. Expect two days of high-energy skating, a relaxed coastal atmosphere, and plenty of excitement on and off the ramps. The event precinct will also feature food trucks, live music and giveaways, creating a vibrant festival feel for competitors and spectators alike.

This year, the focus is on a park event, with the potential addition of a bowl division pending interest and sponsorship. Fair Go continues to be supported by local businesses and the skate industry, helping to deliver a prize pool of more than $10,000 in cash and prizes.

After the finals wrap up, the celebrations continue with the Official Afterparty at Cherry Street Sports Club, giving riders, supporters and the community a chance to unwind and connect after a huge weekend of skating.

Competitor registrations are now open.
