Ballina Public Art – Community Art Pavers

Scattered throughout Ross Park in Lennox Head, the Community Art Pavers form a joyful and collaborative artwork celebrating the heart of the community.

Developed through LAB’s “Make Your Mark on the Park” workshops, locals of all ages were invited to create their own paver-sized drawings inspired by the things they love most about Lennox — from its beaches and surf breaks to its wildlife, sunsets, and village charm.

Each clay paver was then transformed into a permanent piece of art, embedding the voices, creativity, and identity of the Lennox community directly into the park itself. The result is a colourful, textured walkway that tells a shared story — one step at a time.

Led by the Lennox Arts Board, this project brought together residents and artists to create an enduring artwork that celebrates community connection, local pride, and creativity in public spaces.
