Welcome to Lennox Head
Laid back Lennox Head is situated halfway between Ballina and Byron Bay. The main street runs alongside the beautiful Seven Mile Beach and is home to some of the best cafes and restaurants in the Northern Rivers.
A proud surf town, Lennox is recognised for the legendary Lennox Point headland, part of Australia’s National Surfing Reserve. The powerful right-hand point break draws surfers from around the world and ranks among the top surf breaks in the country.

Naturally Local
Lennox Arts Collective is a vibrant group of local artists who collaborate to showcase their work in a welcoming gallery space.
The gallery has been a creative cornerstone for over a decade, born from the vision of local artists wanting a space to share their work with the community.

Grab your snorkel and dive into the crystal-clear waters of Lennox Boat Channel. This sheltered spot is perfect for spotting fish, crabs and even the occasional sea turtle.
Ideal for families and first-timers, it’s a hidden gem just off the beach.

A Freshwater Escape
Lake Ainsworth is a unique natural treasure located at the northern end of Lennox Head. This serene freshwater tea-tree lake is coloured a rich amber by natural oils and tannins from the surrounding Melaleuca trees, giving the water its distinctive hue and a reputation for soothing skin and hair.
A favourite among locals and visitors, the lake offers a calm, protected space for swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking and sailing. The grassy foreshore has picnic areas, barbecues and shady spots.
Whether you're taking a refreshing dip, paddling across the peaceful waters, or simply enjoying a lakeside picnic, Lake Ainsworth offers a peaceful, rejuvenating experience just moments from the beach.
