The Northern Rivers region is ideal for mountain biking with a combination of unsealed back roads, fire trails and park trails. Riders can also enjoy riding along Ballina Shire's Coastline on the headlands taking in the beautiful scenic views.

Duck Creek Mountain Bike Park

Duck Creek Mountain Bike Park is located only a few kilometres from Ballina on the way to Alstonville in the hinterland. Managed by Northern Rivers Dirty Wheels Mountain Bike Club Inc, the park contains approximately 9 kilometres of mountain bike specific cross-country and all-mountain style trails. The trail network includes easy and difficult trails suitable to a variety of riding abilities with all trails sign posted with the trail name, direction and difficulty rating.

Whian Whian State Conservation Area

Whian Whian State Conservation Area has 6 different bike trails spreading over 46km, each with varying levels of difficulty. Enjoy riding through the subtropical rainforest, passing by waterfalls and escaping back to nature at this beautiful area located near Byron Bay and Lismore.

New Italy Mountain Bike Park

New Italy's Mountain Bike Park is situated in Doubleduke State Forest, Tabbimoble approximately 9 kilometres south of Woodburn. 

The trail has been designed to suits riders of different levels and abilities with some trails more difficult than others. Trails include natural terrain, constructed technical features, obstacles, drop offs, bridges and steep land. The trail surface may change over time and make riding more difficult.

The New Italy Mountain Bike Park is currently CLOSED until further notice due to fire damage.

COASTAL RECREATIONAL PATH
