Join Ballina Chamber of Commerce for International Women's Day on Friday 8th March, in the Ballina RSL Auditorium.

They have heard your feedback and will be hosting their first evening IWD, with a delicious two course meal, raffles, incredible guests from our local business community.

The theme for International Women’s Day 2024 is Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.

Based on the priority theme for the United Nations 68th Commission on the Status of Women, Count Her In will examine the pathways to greater economic inclusion for women and girls everywhere.

While important progress has been made, women face significant obstacles to achieving equal participation in the economy.

This year welcome back the hilarious Mandy Nolan as their guest MC, and this year they are so excited to have Lisa Messenger as the guest speaker.

Based in sunny Byron Bay, entrepreneur and visionary Lisa Messenger founded her game-changing The Messenger Group in 2001. With over 400 custom published books for companies and individuals, her organisation continues to release 40 to 60 products annually, captivating audiences worldwide.

Lisa's extensive career spans 36 authored and co-authored books, establishing her as an authority in the startup scene. Her unwavering passion lies in challenging conventional thinking, urging individuals and corporations to embrace alternative approaches and cultivate entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and innovation.

Lisa's impact is evident in her esteemed circle of admirers, including Sir Richard Branson and author Bradley Trevor Grieve. With over 800,000 social media followers across the Collective Hub platforms, she inspires like-minded individuals to challenge the status quo and drive positive change.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lisa shares her love for fashion, fitness, business, life and travel through her socials, as well as her Byron home-renovation journey through @collectiveretreat. She also invites her audience to join her personal journey as she awaits the arrival of her first baby via surrogate, chronicling her experiences on @mummyatlast.
