Alstonville Wollongbar Fun Run

More than just a run, it’s a great community morning with something for just about everyone.

There’s the Ballina Buslines 3km Run, perfect for kids, families and those wanting a shorter course; the Daley Street Dental 5km Run for those looking for a little more of a challenge; and the McGrath Northern Rivers Group 10km Challenge for those brave enough to tackle all those hills between Alstonville and Wollongbar twice!

If running isn’t your thing, the Edge Fit & Well 5km Walk is a great opportunity to stretch the legs, have a chat and enjoy the beautiful local scenery. Along the way, Dr Pramod Durgakeri from Northern Rivers Surgeons is sponsoring our Hydration Stations to keep everyone going.

Youngest competitors can join Mr Brad from Fitness Kidz for the always-popular 1km Kids Dash around the oval, before enjoying the Allambi Care Kids Zone, featuring a mini ninja course, fire truck, face painting, diggers and loads of free activities.

Then there’s the Federal Hotel Alstonville Community Relay – a mad dash around the oval where costumes are highly encouraged and bragging rights are most definitely on the line! Gather a team, hit the op shops and come dressed to impress.

And, of course, there will be coffee! Nat’s Coffee is generously supporting the event with barista coffee on the day, while the Lions Club will be firing up the BBQ and our school cake stall will be ready to replenish all those calories burned on the course.

Maca Music will provide live entertainment from the Somerville Laundry Lomax Solicitors Sound Stage, helping create a great atmosphere throughout the morning.

At its heart, the Alstonville Wollongbar Fun Run is about fun, fitness, families and community, while raising much-needed funds for our local public schools.
