Wildlife Guardians at the Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary

During the school holidays your children can become Wildlife Guardians and spend the day with the keepers behind-the-scenes at the Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, learning about conservation and caring for our wildlife.

Age: 8 – 12 years
Time: 9am to 3.30pm (register 8.30am)
Sessions are available daily Monday to Friday throughout the NSW School Holidays but bookings are essential
Limit: 10 per workshop
Includes morning tea, lunch, and an ice cream

The day will include:
– Creating enrichment for wildlife by making safe treats and toys that encourage play and stimulate their natural behaviours
– Understanding the process in planting at home to encourage wildlife into your backyard in a safe environment
– Bug & Insect play
– Learning about our wildlife and the impact that we have as humans on their conservation
– Geo’s famous “Who Am I” interactive game where the aim is for visitors to collaborate and share their knowledge of animals, problem solve and find solutions as a team
