Green Sea Turtle
Blending art, nature, and play, the Green Sea Turtle is a beautifully crafted site-specific sculpture located in Ross Park, Lennox Head. Made from sandstone, blackbutt timber, copper, and concrete, the piece invites both contemplation and interaction — serving as a playful sculpture and gathering space for families and children.
Celebrating the local green sea turtle, a species often seen in the nearby coastal waters, the artwork symbolises the connection between land and sea, and the delicate balance of the marine environment that defines Lennox Head. Its organic form offers a moment for reflection, relaxation, or creative play, seamlessly blending art with everyday life.
The Green Sea Turtle was created to enrich Ross Park’s natural setting — offering visitors a space for meditation, connection, and community while celebrating the beauty and significance of one of the region’s most cherished marine creatures.
