Whats On This Weekend

The weekend is once again upon us!  Here are the weekend events highlights from The Ballina Tourism Team.

Bring your wild heart and your gypsy spirit and start the weekend off with a boogie at the Fleetwood Mac Tribute Show at the RSL tonight from 7.30pm. 

On Saturday join the Northern Rivers Community Gallery for a special after-hours event to kick of their public programs for 2023. Listen to exhibiting Artist Marian Tubbs in conversation with ABC Radio National presenter of The Art Show, Daniel Browning followed by a sonic performance by electronic musician and mixed media artist, Laura Hunt.  

 

Feel like adding a spot of magic to your weekend? Showmen present their 'Magic Spectacular' show on Saturday from 7pm-9pm at the Ballina RSL. Prepare to experience a jaw dropping spectacle of live magic, illusions and stunts! 

 

Weekends mean markets and as usual, there's a few to choose from around the Northern Rivers. The Mullumbimby Community Market is on this Saturday from 8am to 2pm; a great little family festival with local Live Music buskers and yummy food.On Sunday, the market fun continues with one of the largest markets in the region, the Bangalow Market from 9- 3pm and closer to home, the weekly Ballina Farmers Marketskick off at 7am with all of fresh local produce and goodies...yum! 

 

There are plenty of tours and experiences happening this weekend too! 

Discover the tranquil waters of the Richmond River Nature Reserve on a Sunset River Cruise with Out of The Blue Adventuresthis evening from 5:30pm-7:30pm; 

On Saturday, wake up early to spot the local Platypus withVision Walks.  

Cape Byron Distillery are running their popular Rainforest and Gin Tasting Tour, or go the whole hog and jump on a  half day brewery tour of Northern Rivers Breweries with'Behind the Barrel'.  

 Sunday you can join Byron Bay Coastal Walks on their Nyangbal Half Day Coastal Walk where you will Join Kris Cook, as he shares with you the stories, customs and history of his people in the local area while walking the stunning Ballina/Lennox coastline.
