It's the weekend and there's lots happening around the Ballina Coast and Hinterland to keep you busy.

Tonight provides a heap of options to kick off your weekend.  

The 'Dinner is Served' café is hosting their first Pop-Up event tonight from 4:30 to 7:30pm. Gather your amigos and join them for a Mexican fiesta accompanied by music by Ben Whiting and ice cold margaritas! 

The Mexican theme continues tonight at Shelly Beach café for their weekly Taco and Margarita Sunset Session from 4:30 to 8:00pm. 

Tintenbar Up Front  is also on tonight with a full program of amazing performers. Always a great night. 

Harvest Newrybar is hosting a Bundjalung Dining and Culture Experience tonight from 5pm until 8pm hosted by Arakwal woman Delta Kay and Widjabul Wia-bul Chef Mindy Woods. 

 

Up for a laugh? Comedy Commune are presenting a two hour live comedy show at the Wardell Community Hall on Saturday night from 8to 10pm. There’s also music and food on the lawn with local bands and musicians playing from 5 so get yourself and your family, friends and community together for a brilliant afternoon. 

 

If you are looking to add a bit of sport to your weekend Solace Muay Thai in Ballina are holding an amateur Thai Boxing Show, Ballina Fight Night at the Lennox Head Cultural Centre on Saturday night from 5 to 9pm and on

Saturday afternoon over at Oakes Oval in Lismore, Northern Rivers locals are being invited to a community cricket 20/20 event starring Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting, Jason Gillespie and other Australian Cricket ex-players. 

Wind down the weekend at Harvest Newrybar for their Sunday BBQ Breakfast and live music in the garden from 8 to 12. A fun time and great food guaranteed.  

 

Closer to home, why not see out the weekend at the Shaws Bay Hotel's Sunday Session from 3pm onwards featuring some top live music!
