It's a big line up of events and entertainment this weekend! The annual Quota Craft & Garden Fair  is two day event showcasing some amazing craft artisans and combined with a garden fair of quality plants and garden products from local growers, this fair has over 80 stalls brimming with colour. Hear from guest gardening speakers, and meet some talented stallholders. 

Sit on the banks of Shaws Bay for the annual Rainbow Region Dragon Boat Regatta and  watch the dragon boat racing on both the Saturday and Sunday with Community Team events on the Sunday along with a variety of novelty races.  

Byron Bay Surf Festival  kicks off this Thursday, Ballina Players latest production Avenue Q  also commences Thursday so if you are looking for a laugh, this is the show to see.  

Some great charity fundraising events happening. Enjoy a great night out at the Northern Rescue Ball  hosted by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service is being held at the Ballina RSL and the Lennox Lions ‘John Mitchell Charity Golf Day’  will be held on Sunday, a fundraising event with this years major beneficiaries being Ballina Marine Rescue and the Wildlife Hospital at Knockrow.  

Some great workshops to book in - a Watercolour Workshop at Ignite Studios  and another one just for the kids at Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.  

And for some live music, The Australian Hotel Big Gig  kicks off the weekend every Thursday night with a different band,  Rous Unplugged  will be featuring Liora Claff on Friday evening. SUnday afternoon you are spoilt for choice - a cello player and composer Ilse de Ziah and guitarist Ian Date will be at Pearces Creek Hall, a Pipe Organ Duet concert at St Marys Church or enjoy live music at Shaws Bay Sunday Session to wind up the weekend.
