A Winter High Tea in the Rainforest

A Winter High Tea in the Rainforest offers a refined dining experience within the tranquil surrounds of Nightcap Ridge in Dorroughby. Held on 25 and 26 July 2026, with seatings at 10:00am and 1:30pm, this limited-ticket event showcases the celebrated flavours of HOME Alstonville, one of the Northern Rivers’ most loved local providores.

Set in The Palm Room—a charming Queenslander-style pavilion—guests are immersed in the beauty of the Gondwana Rainforest, with views of ancient canopy, lily ponds and lush gardens creating an elegant and peaceful setting.

The specially curated menu highlights regional and native ingredients sourced within 50km. Savoury selections include Ballina prawn brioche with macadamia aioli and crispy saltbush, kangaroo shepherd’s pie with bush tomato sauce, and a tart featuring warrigal greens and pepperberry. Sweet offerings feature lemon myrtle madeleines, wattleseed chocolate and raspberry mousse tart, and HOME’s signature honey cake crafted with local honey and Brookies Macadamia Liqueur.

Tickets include all food, tea and filtered coffee, with local wines, native botanical cocktails and other beverages available to purchase.

Guests can further enhance their visit with self-guided walks of the property at 9:15am and 4:00pm, making for a memorable culinary escape in nature.
