Brewery Tours with Behind the Barrel
Discover the best breweries and distilleries in Ballina, Lennox Head and Byron Bay on a half-day guided tour through the Northern Rivers. With pick-up and drop-off available from Ballina, Lennox Head or Byron Bay, this tour makes it easy to relax and enjoy the region’s award-winning craft beverages.
Guests will visit two local breweries and a distillery, with a tasting paddle included at each stop. Learn about the brewing and distilling process, meet passionate makers, and sample a wide range of craft beers, small-batch spirits and seasonal releases. For those who prefer alternatives, ciders, seltzers, ginger beer or wine can be substituted. Optional tasting platters are also available (own cost) to complement the drinks.
Venues regularly featured on the tour include Stone & Wood, Seven Mile Brewing, Lord Byron Distillery, Cape Byron Distillery, Husk Distillery, Common People Brewing and Earth Brewing Co. Each experience is designed to showcase the diversity and innovation of the Northern Rivers craft beer and spirits scene.
Itineraries may vary due to brewery operations, renovations or special releases, ensuring every tour offers something new. If you have a preferred venue, simply note it when booking and the team will do their best to accommodate.
