Ballina Boat Hire
Explore the mighty Richmond River with Ballina Boat Hire. Grab a tinnie with a shade canopy (big enough for four people) or a barbecue boat that’s big enough for eight (complete with onboard barbie and toilet facilities), and set off on a mini -voyage of discovery.
Whether you want to throw in a line, or just admire your surroundings and enjoy cruising, beach swimming and picnicking, you’ll find the river to be a wildlife haven: more than 160 bird species make their homes here, as well as dolphins, and there’s always something to see in the waterways and mangroves.
You can hire boats for two, four or eight hours. No licence required. No direct wheelchair access on the pontoon boats, but wheelchair users are welcome on board if the user and the chair can be carried separately by accompanying passengers.
