The mural was designed and painted in 2004 by Bundjalung artist Susan Anderson, Vivienne Simpson, Priscilla Sutor and Steven Sutor. Murals in the tunnel are a step back in time, a place of rich history into the sacred land and dreaming of this area. It tells of creation, the story of Three Brothers, Yarbirri, Mamoon and Burrung, who were the ancestral founders of the Bundjalung Nation. Angels Beach is of special significance to the traditional owners of Bullinah as a sacred site. A tragic massacre occurred there in the mid 19th century.
