Parks & Playgrounds

Details

There are a number of parks and open spaces around Ballina, Lennox Head and Alstonville to take the kids for a play. Here are some of the main ones to visit:

Pop Denison Park | Compton Dr, East Ballina

Situated on Shaws Bay, this is Ballina's newest playground. Seperated into a smaller childrens play area and one for the bigger kids that includes a flying fox. PLenty of play equipment in a natural setting. There is no cover so not the park to go to on a wet day but definitely one of the best. Shaws Bay is nearby for a dip on a hot day - it has it all. Bring the scooters as there are heaps of footpaths around to ride.

Great park for when the weather isn't great as the play equipment is all undercover. There is a huge grass area for kids to kick the balls around and the skate park is in the same vicinity for the kids who have brought their boards. The park is close to The Spit beach if you want to go for a swim which is a dog friendly beach.
